I’d encourage you to read through the book of Jonah before this Sunday. It is only four chapters and will probably take less than half an hour to read through. Why do I ask you to read it? Because I want you to see the big picture before we dig into the
Ultimately, the book of Jonah teaches us about ourselves. It teaches us about our sin and our need for Christ’s compassion/instruction. “It [the book of Jonah] wakes us up to our worst tendencies,” according to one author. My goal is to challenge each one of us to follow Christ even when his calling on our lives challenges our personal goals and aspirations.
Please join me in reading through this book and prepare your hearts in prayer as we gather on Sunday to begin this series. Invite your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors…etc. God is good, and I’m excited to see what He will teach us through Jonah!
